To impact high levels of malnutrition in the community we have distributed foods during severe famine. We maintain surveillance of nutritional status by collecting measures including the standard mid-upper circumference (MUAC) by UNICEF. Further, we link all patients with malnutrition to services at the hospital. All hospitalized Kala-azar patients receive nutritional support during treatment.
